Taking the plunge

I am not new to photography I have used a canon mark II n for about a year. But my budget is simply not that grand. I have a little over 3000, and was looking for a great landscape setup. So I found a Canon 30d, 17-40 f/4 L, 70-200 f/4 L, and a gitzo tripod. But I don't know which model legs I should purchase, and what head to buy. So any input would be greatly appreciated.

You might call the company I have found that Bogen/Manfrotto's tech support is very helpful.

The 17-40 isn't really all that wide on a 30D. For landscapes, you might want to consider something wider like the EF-S 10-22.
