I just got the Tamron 150-600 today and am trying to figure out what the focus limitng switch does/is for. Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks!

A focus limiter limits the focus to a specific range to allow much faster focusing by eliminating all the areas that you know won't work in the travel of the focus.
ie limit the focus to between 25 feet and 35 feet, to see the objects in this area much faster with auto-focus.

Thanks! I'm hoping the weather is nice this weekend so I can get out and play with the lens some.

If you play with it you will go blind.
