Tamron 20-40mm
For Canon mount Full frame and cropped
This was sort of an intermediate step for me after buying my 17-40mm. I thought this would be a good faster option for wide on my 5D. But it's only 2.7 up to 28mm. So I broke down and bought a 16-35mm, which is 2.8 throughout. Saves me from having to change lenses more often. Still faster than the 17-40 throughout. The Tamron actually has comparable IQ and better contrast. Very sharp lens. I'd keep it but I need another long lens. It's in great new looking shape, though it's an older lens. No scratches on lens, fungus or focusing issues. It's one of Tamron's premium offerings at the time and a reputed prime killer. For the price, it's a steal since there are not many decent full frame wide angle, fast offerings for under $1000. Beats my old Tamron 17-50. Comes with both caps and hood.
