Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 or Nikon 24-120mm VR Lens

Which would work best for portraits and wedding photography on the Nikon D750? I'm torn.

Just went through the same decision a few months back. My subjects are a little different, but I got the Tamron 24-70 2.8 G2. I've been happy so far. The link below has some good info which may help you.
