Kinda just bought one of these on eBay.

Anyone have expierience with it?

Will replace my kit lens.

Ummmm...they may think so, but it is not similar to the l series. When you say nifty fifty I am assuming you mean the 50mm 1.8 not the 50mm 1.2L

It will be the same then. Tamron calls it it's pro line, but they aren't as sharp or durable as the l series. They also lack weather sealing. Don't get me wrong...you will enjoy it. It's a good lens. I've had both the Nikon and canon version of the lens at one time.

I have one. It's a good lens. My biggest problem with it is that it's no good for a full frame camera. Woulda, coulda, shoulda... If you don't mind, what did you pay for it?
