Hey greybeard. Flies are not portable. However, ants and spiders are. Put them on something. If you want to slow down a small buggie or butterfly, you can put them in the freezer for a while also. Not too long.

So you kill the bug first, freeze it, and then put it on a flower?

No. My spider was on this flower in my garden. I wouldn't go to the trouble, but I think you might. It doesn't kill them unless you leave them too long. It puts them in some kind of temp hibernation. I had a macro shooter friend who would do it.

I tried to delete the above post but it didn't take. The spider I shot was about the size of a flee so transporting him anywhere would have been tough. By the way, I really like your spider pic.
