Telephoto zoom lens

I need a telephoto zoom lens i am currently looking at the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS. I am going to collage this year and have little money im looking at $250-$350.

I am not professional so i can be a little lax in quality so plz dont suggest L lenses(as much as i would like one).

Any other lenses you might sugest?

Thats probably the best for your budget
