Nice shot! At first I thought it was one of those prank tennis balls that explodes into dust when hit.

Thanks Jeff! The coach would ban me from matches if I used a real exploding ball. I'm on several FB photography pages and it seems popular for football portraits to have smoke behind the subject. Some have composited backdrops too.

would be cheating to use AI if this was a contest entry that stated no AI. Or no compositing or dodge/burn.

Simplify this to read anything other than SOOC is cheating.......sound familiar? Same old tired argument. Bottom line, if you don't like it scroll on by.
