I think I've gone about a week without begging for CC. That's probably some kind of record for me.

Anyway, these are the outtakes from my biology project, but the keepers for my photography hobby.

Very nice. I like both of these. My only thought is that perhaps #1 would be stronger if you had shot from a slightly lower position so that you could see more of the vertical part of the tube rather than the top (bottom). Good choice on the monochrome treatment and good use of DoF!
