Texas Spiny Lizard with a new tail

This lizard has made it's home in the garden in the front of the house. About six inches from tip to tail.

They can shed their tails, which will wiggle around on the ground to distract a predator while they get away. The tail grows back eventuall, like on this one.

Lizards are so cool. We need some horned toads!

I would love to find some horn toads, but they are becoming scarce. They are more abundant up in Oklahoma I think.
