I just want to say thank you to all of you for recommending "Understanding Exposure". It is a GREAT book. I am a total newb to photography, and it really helps you easily "understand exposure". Also, being kind of a mathematic guy, his approach to the "photographic traingle" really helps me understand things. I am learning so much. I bought my Canon Rebel XS back in December, and I now also have a cheap Canon 50mm 1.4 and I am having so much fun. I am heading to Hawaii in 3 weeks for 3 weeks and I can't wait to test out my newfound knowledge. Now I just need a tripod and maybe a 75-300mm lens.
