The big ball in the sky

Pretty picture, but I agree with WesternGuy, boosting the contrast or playing with the black point might be helpful here, looks a bit washed out in it's present form.

Intact EXIF data? gooner, can you help me understand how I get this off a posted image? I have never been able to do this.

WesternGuy
Just save the image, go to properties and in the details tab you'll see the EXIF data is retained.

Raj, thanks for the info, but where would I save the image? I need a bit more on the "how to" for this.

WesternGuy

I save the image to a folder on my hard drive then use LR or Bridge to read the meta data.

If you're using IE11, just right click on the image above and save it anywhere on your hard disk, say on the desktop. Then right click on the image on your desktop -> properties -> details tab, and then scroll down to see the EXIF. :)

_____EDIT____
@Hunter58, I hope you don't mind but I tried playing around with it as your photos were set as ok to edit :)

Thanks Raj. Too bad there isn't a way to do it directly in IE11, but then that's Microsoft, they never make anything easy or simple :biggrin-93: .

WesternGuy.

I did not think anyone still used IE :dejection:

Hi WG, I use an extension in my firefox browser called exif viewer 2.0 This gives me an option to view the exif data in photos by right clicking on the image. This will only work if the person that uploaded the image did not strip the exif data on exporting the image however. I'm sure similar plugins might be available for Chrome/Safari etc.

There is a similar extension for the Safari browser

 That's true, but there are so many users that someone always comes up with an easier way. Try this addon, this will work on IE 11 :)

Neither did I!

Don't mind at all. You did bring more details out but it did seem to make it darker, this is what was happening when I added more contrast and I opted for the lighter sky.

:) Hmm.. i tried to keep the lighter sky as well, but it looked unnatural where the moon was blending in with the sky.

Oh you guys! :biglaugh:IE has been around since the dinosaurs, like me! You know, I tried Firefox, but I did not like the way they handled "Favourites". I like the way that IE does and I could never get FF to work the same way. Just like a lot of us and Win 8/8.1, we could never get it to work like Win 7. Hopefully, Win 10 might resolve some of that - who am I kidding - two wrongs very rarely make a right! :eek-73:

Raj, thanks for the IEXIF add on./ I will have a look and see if it will work for me.
