The BIG Flag

Town of Fairhaven, MA raised this big flag for the Fairhaven Homecoming Days celebration. They raise on certain special days during the year. I watched them this weekend raise it. It's huge.

Flag is--30 foot x 50 foot large
The Stars--are 1 foot wide
flagpole is--75 feet tall
the ball on top is --the size of a BasketBall

This is the flag raised.

It took 15 people to help raise the flag.

The largest flag & flagpole I've ever seen was at the DMZ in Korea. From Guard Post Callier in the south, you could see the North Korean flag standing in Peace Village at 525 ft. tall and the flag weighing in at a whopping 595 lbs. According to wiki, it's the fourth largest flag in the world.
