This little guy was the best. Robins are usually pretty fearless but he just sat there, completely relaxed and he seemed to be pretty curious about me. 1.78 meters according to the EXIF. When I got to about 1 meter he friendzoned me...
Not cropped at all, and for 1/80s at 300mm I'm pretty happy with the sharpness!

And yeah, he did spoil me a little there, didn't he?^^ I'm always grateful when they let me this close. But robins are generally pretty fearless where I live.

Great shot but I'm asking myself, if you had backed up slightly would the depth of field be increased to allow the feet and tail to be in focus

I tried that, but with a 300mm lens that didn't make much of a difference. At that spot there actually wasn't a whole lot of room to back up enough as well.
Also, out of the shots that I took of him this is still the sharpest, which is why I chose it.

Yeah, as DarkShadow pointed out, f/5.6.
But more importantly, it was a 300mm lens and I was very close.
