The first photo it is for me!
With the hint of colour to be seen, the bit of light blue and bits of yellow in both the door and the long crack ... not a total front view, but not one from too far over to the side, more headroom above the door ... that all looks pretty attractive to me, and the texture of the wall comes out better in that one (from that point of view?) than in the second, straight-forward, b&w photo.

It was also taken from about 6 feet rather then 2 feet.
