The Chook Army.

I was sitting in the farm truck when the ladies of the "Chook Army" started advancing from the rosemary bushes, I took a few quick snaps of them and when I downloaded them I felt that this shot stood out.

These are the free ranging egg birds, out of the ten hens this time of year I get about 2 dozen eggs every 3 days, more than enough for the family. The meat birds are Indian game and we free range them for 6 - 8 months before dressing them out for the table at about 1.5 kg weight.
