    There was a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers a.k.a. Clucky and Bride of Clucky who were making a nest in a tree in my yard. Despite my best (.177) efforts, starlings drove them away.

    Apparently they have persevered!!

    Presenting the Cluckling.. Perhaps not my best photo but I like the lighting.

    Maybe not your best pic as you said but very likable so you hit the mark, imo. From my experience I think most people like a good action shot whether it's technically perfect or not.
    Nice capture.

    I'm not a fan of birds on feeder shots but as K above says it's always good to see a bit of avian action and there's the story behind it too which is brilliant.;)
