Wonder whether critter ranges are changing along with long-term climate shifts. Coyote sightings around rural S. Ontario, once notable, are common now.All kinds of news this week, we just had a bear sighting close to us (I can see the spot where he was seen from our bedroom window). Guess I'll need to start carrying again when walking the fire lanes.![]()
We've had bear, cougars, panthers, and coyotes for a few years now. Our yard is party central for all kinds of wildlife.Wonder whether critter ranges are changing along with long-term climate shifts. Coyote sightings around rural S. Ontario, once notable, are common now.
We haven't had any black bear sightings locally, but not far north from here they are showing up. There has been one cougar sighting IN the city (suburban not urban) just blocks north of here, but it has since moved on. The State was going to trap and relocate it, but lost track of it.@nerwin supposedly our black bears moved down from TN a few years back, during a drought, in search of food, and didn't go back. Residents believe (though the state denies), that the cougars and panthers were imported by the state to control the rapidly expanding coyote population. Deer and wild turkey are also abundant. Not sure how or when the alligators showed up in our waterways but the number of sightings is rising.
Sounds awesome! Hard to go wrong with a Broadway version of just about anything.Guten Morgen Alle! The Lion King Broadway musical was amazing! The visuals were incredible, and the music was a mix of the Disney soundtrack and African Folk, and the latter was absolutely mesmerizing. If I had to choose between the cartoon, the live action movie, and the Broadway Musical, I'll take Broadway over the other two every time. It was well worth the nightmarish Dallas traffic to get to the Music Hall at Fair Park.
