2023 Tourist Trophy--The planet's oldest(1907) and scariest motorcycle race on now.
37-mile laps around the Isle of Man on narrow town and country public roads at 180-200mph. Curious?

We have lots of restaurants around here, never super-packed during the week. I agree with Cheryl about cooking for two - I prefer making a large batch of whatever-it-is to freeze for later. We rarely eat meat - we went for two years without a grill and never thought about it. We finally noticed a pile of fresh zucchini at a farmer's market recently, that made us go get a tiny Weber. Big enough to do all the veggies, with an occasional small batch of chicken wings or my Mediterranean ground lamb patties.
Love, love love zucchini on the grill.

We got an airfryer back in January and used it a few times. The problem is that Snicker's hates the beep. He hides in the closet and shakes. We now put him outside during the cooking or if too cold my husband holds him and cover's his ears for the beeps. I googled and can't turn off the beep.

Poor little guy! We never know what will scare them, do we? :(

Poor Snickers! My little Xing hated the smoke detector beep when the batteries got low. He would be shaking like crazy.

We call this pose “waiting for bunny”. Every morning when I let her out she sniffs out where the little bunny is hiding and the chase is on. Fortunately the bunny has so far been able to outsmart her and get back to its nest under the shed. Then Harlie spends the rest of the morning ready to pounce.

I make as much noise as I can when letting her out so the bunny has warning but if that little @$&*er keeps eating my seedlings I may change my strategy.

When I let the cats out, I usually clap my hands once or twice and call out, "Predator alert!"

One of those sounds should give everyone plenty of warning. The cats give me dirty looks, though.

DW slices zucchini long ways, seasons, adds parmesan and grills.😋

@SquarePeg Phobe's nemises are the squirrels. Just about every morning on our walks one will run at her taunting her, then scurry up a tree. So far they've been to fast for her, but one these days they'll mess up, and I won't feel sorry them.

At our house, it's a few chipmunks. They know all the places to dive under the deck. The cats are very patient, though.

At night I flash the back porch light and say “heeeeeere’s Harlie” in my best Ed McMahon impersonation.

The squirrels are very good at taunting dogs! We have a young looking squirrel that runs across the top of the fence every morning with Harlie in hot pursuit. I think it waits for her because we don’t always get out there at the same time every day. I know some day it’s going to fall off that fence and that’ll be all she wrote.

Cats will get them in the end. They are devious and better athletes than most of their prey.

I don't get the air fryer thing either, a pot or pan is my ability level! Although I do like making stew/soup in the winter. Summer is minimal cooking! But since the bronchitis that won't go away, I'm back and forth with maybe an actual meal or just soup/sandwich. Things still just don't even taste right.

Besides a transportation fiasco last week I don't remember if I posted about going to the kidney specialist. Good news, my kidney function measurement was great!! Realized it's been going on a year since I last went to dialysis. I knew from the get-go it would be a lot of adjusting meds, and I go back in Aug. for another check up. As long as the important thing is good, I can deal with the other crap! (like transportation issues, people not calling back about appts., etc. etc. PITA stuff! lol).

An air fryer lets you cook without adding any fat. Also when you use it for burgers or steaks they taste fantastic- cooked but still juicy.

Good news on the kidney function!

I over did things when we first got the airfryer. Too crispy.

It sure cooks everything fast! That’s another plus in my book lol.

I was raised on real food fried in lard....LOL However now that I've reached the golden years my digestive tract just won't handle much grease, the Air Fryer works great to give you that fried food taste without all the grease. The InstaPot cooks much like a pressure cooker,, it cooks foods in a fraction of the time it would take in the oven or pot.
