Hosers - the wind chill here is now 5F. But no worries, because it's actually 7F out there. And the sun is shining! How they exaggerate the cold.

No worries, the worst will be over by Thursday. In the meantime, I have layered my clothes today.

We got a fresh coat of snow in MD - maybe an inch or two. I drove home from the hospital last night and the roads were simply wet. I did have to brush off the car but the ride home was pretty uneventful. It's staying brlow freezing until Friday.

MLSIL is doing very well. She's still getting antibiotic and pain meds but has just been cleared for solid foods and wants ius to bring her a couple doughnuts when we go up. Yesterday she walked the wing, maybe 150 feet / 45 meters without the walker (just held on to my hand & arm). She said she should go home in a day or two.

That's great news! I'm guessing the doughnuts will also make everything a little better.

Me too, but the arthritis in my hands and the lack of any calluses on the finger tips cancels out the urge.

I used to have calluses on my fingertips when I played. I'm not even sure I remember half the stuff I learned but people say it comes back surprisingly quick.
