Like quite a few others, this client decided to use the lockdown
to renew his catalogue, ready for the next season.

So did you "take it out in trade"???

Liked them all, though it took me a minute to figure out that was sunlight through a window reflecting on floor of the last one. IMO it adds nothing and distracts from the image, I'd clone it out.

No, smoke, I'm not a good drinker.

As for the sunlight, the building is in family hands since 1471 and,
when it was renovated, was scrupulously rendered with its small
windows that only the low winter Sun will penetrate for warmth.

I perfectly get your drift, though! :)

@NS: Nikon Shooter I would have to "sample" the product to connect the creative side. LOL

I suspected it was an old building but didn't dream it was that old. Really nice they have preserved it.

Very nice! What are they distilling?

Shot 2 nominated for Photo of the Month, as I think this perfectly captures the atmosphere in a bonded warehouse. I can almost smell the wood barrels!

Schnapps mainly, Pete. Fruits are coming to maturity at different points
in the season so they're busy all the time, from many kinds of berries to
many kinds of nuts and plumper fruits like apricots, pears, apple, etc.

The last five years, they explored grains — in the direction of whiskeys.

Very nice set! Really like #2. Schnapps means different things in different places. Are they making fruit brandies, or something sweeter?

Thanks Jeff, fruit brandies it is.

Schnapps or schnaps is a type of alcoholic beverage that may take several forms,
including distilled fruit brandies, herbal liqueurs, infusions, and "flavored liqueurs"
made by adding fruit syrups, spices, or artificial flavorings to neutral grain spirits.

Ahhh! Nice! I like a good, dry apple, pear, or plum brandy after a nice meal.

Did you know, Pete, that high end liqueurs and spirits are aged
in old oak barrels at the end of their french wine maturing life?

That goes for my favourite whiskies too! :)
Yes mate, That is something I'm aware of 😁. I like a good malt whisky, and have done a few tours of distlleries and wineries so know that feeling when you are in the place where it's ageing!
