The Geese!

Another of my walks down by the river. This time some Geese showed up.
I was so excited to get these shots because usually, in my experience anyways, Geese are pretty mean! I was actually able to get relatively close to them and they just looked at me and ignored me. Sweet!

The portrait is great, in my experience geese are only cranky when their little ones are around or you are to close to a nest. Your mileage may vary. Glad you got some nice shots to share.

Geese don't get cranky.......down right irate at times but not cranky.

Nice shots, they're over-populated in my area. Green tootsie rolls everywhere. They usually get testy around their young or that's been me and my dogs experience. How they know to go at your privates is beyond me.

They sure do know where to aim for maximum pain. There were no babies so maybe that is why they were mellow and up for my camera being in their faces LOL. Thanks for the replies!

You can have all mine, I wish they would fly back to Canada. My dog hates them but he stays away unless they attack him. He got one pretty good this summer and he was minding his own business. I see sandhill cranes get after them on occasion, them things can handle themselves.
