This is from my daughter's all-stars game tonight..I really like this and I feel like there's a lot of emotion in it, but I was there so maybe that's why. I would love some feedback.. I realize there's a lot wrong with it technically..The sky is blown out and there's a ton of sun flare, but I still like it. I had to shoot through the fence so it was a bit challenging.

I like it. The flare adds drama. Nice shot!

No, sorry, Tami, needs lots more face to convey emotion. Here we see only one face clearly, in profile, and she isn't particluarly animated anyway. As to the flare, I don't get any particluar emotion from that, other than perhaps "dreamy".

For those that don't have an emotional attachment to any of the players, it is not a very compelling photo.

People are hardwired from birth to connect with faces. No faces usually, and dramatically, diminishes a photo's appeal.

In sports, faces and the emotions we can see on them, is the grail to seek.

Not a bad shot... The flare/blown out portion works almost as a vignette, pushing focus to the center. It would have added to the emotion mentioned if we could see the face behind the man's shoulder.

I agree TamiAz, this shot demonstrates emotion, tension, secret planning, I like it a lot.
