The kids found this guy in their sandbox

Snapped a couple of quick shots of this guy, not sure what kind of salamander he is for sure. The kids found him hanging out in their sandbox and naturally came the "can we keep him" question I am not sure if I want to, I know mom didn't seem too thrilled about it.

I agree that it is probably a tiger. I did decide to go get all the stuff to keep it and it has been enjoying its new home. My wife said to me "you seiously spent over a hundred bucks for that thing". I replied well ya it needs all this sh*t so that it can live The boys seem quite happy and Oscar as thay named it seems to be doing well and is eating.

It is my first one, so far this guy is pretty badass. I was a bit surprised to find out they average a 15 year lifespan in captivity.
