I was thrilled to see this doe give birth to the fawn at dawn last June.
But I could not get a good photograph due to tall grass.
The doe picked the tallest grass meadow around to give birth...
a good spot to hid her fawn in an attempt to avoid predators.

I returned several times a day but each time
either the doe was away from her fawn or they were in tall grass.
Finally five days later, I was lucky to get the photo!
A couple seconds later, and I would have missed it due to the tall grass.
