The loud clicking

So I went hunting with my Nikon over the weekend and I got some pics of a few really nice bucks. But.......:blushing: I am ebarassed to post the pics, I just couldn't zoom in close enough. I definitely need a MUCH bigger lens. When I crop the pic so that you can see the bucks it is so grainy it looks like I took the pic with a disposable camera.
OOHHH come on...It can't be worse than some pics I've seen lately. I'd love to see 'em!

If I can open a car door to get pictures of this guy with a 300mm, I don't think the camera shutter is a big deal.

Being both a hunter and photographer, your hubby is worried about something that shouldn't be worried about.

Wow! I love how you captured the texture of the fur Farmerj!

We saw a large group of bachelors, I just wish I could have gotten closer.

When I got lemons, I made lemonade. I just played with this one in PP to make it look more like a painting.

Thanks.

It really came out in post processing with noise reduction and unsharp mask. And they were at ISO1600, f/5.6 with a D90. This one just happened to be in a bean field next to the road as we were driving around on Sunday. Maybe 50 yrds out. The D300 should do just as nice.

Just treat it like bowhunting. You can get real close that way.
