Dude, this struck a nerve with me. Looks just like an uncle I used to have.
You have so much going on in this very "simple" protrait. I love the curves particularly throughout. Then comes the tones and contrasts.
This is amazing and (hopefully) be able come back to make more sense once I get over the shock of seeing a ghost of mine.

I was going for kind of a layered composition- I was hoping to get the eyes to stand out slightly through the shades. Sorry about your uncle. Sure he was nicer than this prick (long story).
