The Moon's Halo

While perusing my collection of photos from our recent camping trip, I came across a couple I took of the moon's halo... I was originally going to throw these out, but with a very small bit of work I was able to combine the two into a single image.

Nicely dine.

The halo is moon light interacting with ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.
For the same reason the sun can have a halo too.
