Had about 25 osprey at the beach today all catching fish. I was just about to leave when an eagle came and attacked one of the ospreys and stole his fish

Nice shots. Did you get any of the "theft" activity?

Very nice shots.

Great job Dan, these are some of the best I have seen from you!

Thanks. Sorry it took a little to get back to you. Very busy before shutdown in the boating world for me. we are down for 3 weeks and then back to work in January. This week and next week to go and then I can take many more pictures. a lot of free time. I don't know if you know, but I bought an older Nikon 300mm f/4 lens. I love the lens, but do want to step up to the newer one where it is supposed to be much faster. Well since I bought this lens, I have really been trying harder to get better pictures. This 300mm is very nice and I just love it. Only problem, it really doesn't take any teleconverters which may be a good thing. That is one reason I want the newer version. Oh well, I will just have to save for that. Thanks for the comment and glad you like them. I will try soon to put some more on. Just recently I found an awesome place for osprey. My dad is down here for the week and told him where to go. He went there while I was at work and he said there was around 40 osprey there today. Well thanks again

What kind of fish is that? It looks like a striped tail.
nice captures!
Nancy

I don't know my fish at all, so I couldn't tell you what it was. I will be posting another picture on soon where the osprey caught a fish and people at work said it was a barracuda with the sharp teeth.
