Some like the muted look of an image like this and if that's what you're going for read no further.
If you were going for a more traditional black and white, then try bringing up the exposure. You have the blacks well covered bit there is no white in the image.

Kinda nice to see a face!!! If you haven't seen these threads by another member, then I highly recommend them as he has done a fantastic job on documenting his learning process. The first one Self Portrait - Learning Lighting and the second one 3 in 1 Headshot - Learning Lighting

Hi @zombiesniper - i had to run out before & did not want to be rude...I was trying to emulate Yousuf Karsh photographic style..not sure if I was successful or not but that was the plan.

I was trying to emulate Yousuf Karsh photographic style

After looking at some of his work I would say you did a pretty good job. He does have quite a few images where they do not have the whites and are more grey.
