Hey everyone!
I've been trying something different lately, which is photographing other people's concepts. It's a bit difficult because I'm so used to shooting my own ideas, but I suppose it's a very good practice in artistic empathy. If you are so inclined, let me know what you think of these (especially the lighting, I'm still very new to using a strobe) !

Beautiful eyes. Cool idea, but I wish you couldn't see the dress through the cards for full effect. Also the first one, the way the top of her head is cropped looks a bit off. Maybe crop in closer?

Thanks, Zoogirlbc! I have to agree about the dress, I had the same thought myself before the shoot, but I figured I didn't want to impress my opinion on another artist's vision. I took your advice on the crop.. do you think it helped? Or should it be even tighter? I'm unsure of how much to cut off... it seems like you should never lose part of the subject's head, but if you want to get in close, you have to, and then it seems as though you have to crop a certain amount so that it doesn't just look like bad framing... ah!

I don't really like the composition on the first two, but I like the last one.

Not to sound like a perv or anything, but I think these would be a lot better if she were naked underneath the cards.

Seeing her dress through the cards takes away from it, IMO. Not sure if she would be up for that though...

Great idea, great model, good exposure, but what in <Insert your divine entity of choice here>'s name made you choose that location???? This would be amazing done in an open field, or a forest of bare trees, but on a balcony somewhere? Seems like a waste to me. You have to do a reshoot of this!
