I posted about my eagle virginity last week. I am very jealous of people that get to see these amazing birds all the time. The Eagle showed up a second time when I was out watching the Osprey. He came closer and I was ready... Love it, hate it let me know.

1. Some day I will figure out how to lift shadows without introducing too much noise

3. In this one it was really close and I couldn't avoid clipping the wing, but I like the close up factor

CC, nice shots - so now you are turning to eagles from ospreys - I like the second one the best, although the first one would be good if you could lighten up the underside of the wings a bit to bring out some of the detail. I am looking forward to more.

I had the same problem with shadows when I shot some eagles earlier this spring/summer. Just something you have to deal with when shooting against the sky, I think. At least until you can figure out a way to get them to cooperate so you can use some fill flash. I like the first and second shots the best as well. Nicely done.

@westernguy, The Ospreys will be moving south soon. So on to other birds unfortunately. I hoping this eagle stays in the area. I also saw another peregrine falcon and a Kingfisher in the same area.

@Infinite Thanks

I tried yet again to reprocess the first one. Some day I'll figure out pp. Here's a different version. I think I pixel peep too much!

The original one was better. Lack of detail under the wings is much more tolerable than the lack of sharpness that resulted from the editing in the second version. The sharpness fell off quite a bit, unfortunately. I'd stick with the original.

Wow , I really like 2 and 3 the best, I post some Eagle shots not long ago you may like them.
