#1 baby!! Wow, that orange is screaming!!

!Fantastic images , Always I enjoy to see these landscapes. I wish to see more about of these topic on my next visit to this forum.

Great vistas, fuzz. I like the clarity and focus.

First Impressions:
1. Great colour, almost to the extent that it looks oversaturated - regardless, great oranges. 2. Great moonset - I would be curious to know the exposure details here. 3. Interesting B&W - I assuming this is a conversion and if so, how did you do it.

Thanks for taking the time to critique

1. I didnt touch the saturation slider but waited to shoot until the sun was behind the leaves making them glow. I did a curves adjust on the mid tones and darks, perhaps that added a bit too much saturation, but too taste I suppose.

2. Dont recall the exact exposure times, but it was a 3 shot bracket, longest for the trees, -1 stop for the sky, and -3 stops for the moon. Then blended by hand in photoshop.

3. It is a conversion, the light was just too "meh" for color. One of the few shots I deliberately shot for B&W. I used Nik Silver Efects to convert and then did some dodging and burning on the arch and mountain.

Some C&C, as requested.

1. I found the subject and colours just unbelievable. Fantastic scene. The white of the road sets the oranges off and the effect is beautiful. I think this one falls a bit short in terms of composition though – I would've liked to see more of the road in the foreground, not only to have a stronger lead into the scene but also because the overall scene feels unbalanced with the horizon line in the bottom quarter of the frame.

2. The strongest of the set, in my opinion – especially considering that exposing this scene must have been tricky. The moon looks fantastic. Love the layers and the colour palette. Perhaps I'd consider losing some of the sky, and maybe also some of the bottom, for a pano-like crop that would enhance all the horizontal lines.

3. For some reason, this one doesn't work for me. I think it's the fact that the rock looks oversharpened and the resulting extra texture – combined with those amazing clouds that cover all the sky – makes the frame look too busy. The clouds, which happen to be the lightest part of the frame, distract from your subject. I love how the rock frames the mountain scene in the background, and I'd suggest considering the elimination of about 70% of the sky to see if the change improves the flow.

Just my 2 cents, FWIW.

Cool thanks for such a detailed critique. I did play around with both of the crops you mentioned, just didnt end up preferring them for some reason. Who knows...tis art.

Fantastic work. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the info. I did wonder about the second one, but the 3 shot bracket explains how it came out so well.

Excellent photos !!!!

To me, the #2 looks very impressive, just because of the natural color mixtures (bluish, grey, green, yellow, purple), last but not least THE MOON, all together made the snap excellent
