One day a Least Bittern decided he was going fishing for his breakfast.

He went down to the water and began searching for something tasty to eat.

But something didn't feel quite right.

That's when he saw the most hideous creature.

Using his best big boy voice. He squawked his loudest to warn big ugly to stay away.

Satisfied that big ugly had been squarely put in his place, the Least Bittern proceed to search for something to eat.

What a coincidence. I swear I was just wondering if you and your son used camo to get the great shots you both share with us! Those bitterns look so much like green herons. They must be closely related?

And like Jr. said we really have only used camo a couple of times. This time was because I've seen the birds here before but they were spooked to easily so camo it is.

Went back this evening and he was there again. I didn't get to see him eat breakfast but he had a hearty dinner.
