I prefer picture 1 over picture 2. Pic 2 because of the peak just seems out of balance. Pic 1 is more of that classic look. Handling the transition from the shadows to the bright sunlight is done very well, as the whites aren't blown out. Nicely done.

Thanks so much. I too prefer the first one, the second one I find is an odd angle.
