HHmm, I've been to Cuba once and found it surprisingly beautiful and the people very friendly. Of course "Americans" are not permitted to visit but I was on a Yacht and got pulled in by the Cuban Gov't but that's a whole 'nother story. I was near Cayo Verde, where are you from and what part of Cuba are you visiting?

Your story sounds very exciting we are from Canada and we went to a resort near Vererderro (sp). Beautiful country and you're right the people are so warm! I had a hard time being on such a beautiful resort when the Cubans were so poor and lived in depressing housing. It was a real shock to me on the drive from the airport.
