... so I figured I would post here too because you guys are pretty quick to help! :D
I am not sure if this has been asked prior but I am on my Blackberry and am unable to fully search the threads. I am not a pro, but just an enthusiast with basic equipment (see my siggy below) and I am thinking about getting the Canon 430EX II Speedlite TTL Shoe-Mount Flash (Guide No. 141'/43 m at 105mm). Advice and opinions please. Its my first ever flash and I did do some research. Thanks!

If you take pictures indoors, flashes like that can be bounced off the ceiling and can light up a large room. You can also fire it remotely with 20$ ebay triggers but TTL (through the lens) metering isn't going to work with them. I'd say grab one... flashes are great.

I don't have anything of use to say, however... *generally* the people here are the same people that would respond to you on the equipment board.

Most people tend to use the "Active Topics"/"New Topics" buttons to browse the forum... so there's really no need for a double post.

If you're not getting any replies, after a decent amount of time (Note: Read "more than an hour... ) then "bump" your thread if you feel the need... otherwise, it just might be that no one has anything useful to input.

I'm sure someone will chime in eventually... but seeing how late it is... most of the gear-heads are probably sleeping. :sillysmi:

Thank You and so true. I am being Little Miss Impatient because I want to go buy it like.... yesterday!:er:

Thanks - I think I will get it :)

Yeah it's a solid investment, especially if you take the time to learn to use it properly.
