C&C Welcome :)

Not too bad, the left side of your face is overexposed gives you that 'two-face' look (put your hand over one side then the other, it doesnt look like the same person  ) I like your expression in this picture though, you got a 'friendly face'. Try practicing different facial expressions in the mirror and try different angles...

of course I'm a complete amateur and probably couldn't do any better hahaha but just my opinion

As self-portraits go I love it.
So much is contained in such a small expression.
Im no professional but I have shot for several amatuer actors wanting profile shots, and this look is what I normally go for and often fail to achieve.
Good work especially considering its a self portrait.

Now Crit time :

A bit more fill light on the left (our left) would be nice,
I presume this is taken with F1.4? Or at least F1.8?
Anyway, focus point seems to be about 3cm infront, and 2 cm to our left of the tip of your nose.

Apart from that minor critisisim job well done!

Thanks for taking the time to comment :)

The shot was taken at f/7.1, and the focus point was the eye's :)

I have to ask - did you focus manually?

Good shot just the way it is. The lighting works with the dimple.

great shot
only thing I would do is throw a high pass filter over a layer of just your eyes
while they are fine, that just makes them shine
and since your focus is on the eyes, why not

A high pass layer at setting 8, and opacity 70% has been applied to the eyes :)

The focus was AF, using Camera Control 2 to make sue it was the right AF point used.

Thanks for the comments guys :)
