They're Back

Osprey ~ This Osprey is seen on a nesting platform that has recently been relocated from a nest site built atop a utility pole. Last year, a fledge fell out of the nest and became entangled in electrical lines and was electrocuted. The power company erected a new pole and platform (minus electrical power lines) that overlooks a pond where the birds will have constant access to fish.

I love to see these birds back here in New England after their return from the migration back from wintering grounds in South America. I hope to capture many shots of the nesting pair and their offspring this year.
