Very cute kid. That jawline line reminds me of me as a kid. ( sorry I work for an orthodontist) No cc don't wanna hurt your feelings with all that emotional attachment. Jk I think it's cute.

LOL! I will try to be gentle and since it is your kid, I don't know that I can give a real, truthful critique. :lmao:

I like it! I think it is a good photograph - I just wish I could see the rest of the shirt, especially since you have an emotional attachment.

Was that easy enough on you?

he's looking out of the picture and I find that a bit distracting. If it was shot in landscape and he was positioned left (looking into the frame) it would look better to me.

Haha did i miss another cocky critique thread?!

Oh please please tell me you have found the "Don't post photos of your own kid for C&C" thread. Oh man is it entertaining. Hahah.

Btw, the shirt says "Lock up your daughters" with a padlock underneath ;)

Hey cute lookin' kid. First off I would say it has very good lighting. Seems like it could use more color. What I noticed right away was that you shot this in portrait mode. I think it would turn out better being shot in landscape mode. Now i know this sounds silly since everyone always says you shoot portraits in portrait mode but this is an exception to the rule. Here is why; when you are doing a profile shot (and this is a great example) you will get a better result by shooting in landscape because of the fact that your subject is facing to the side. You want to give him somewhere to go, just as if you were shooting an action shot of someone running to the right, you would leave more open space to the right than you would to the left of him.

Try it and i bet you will be suprized at how better it looks! =)

One last thing to make the shot look more profesional would be to follow the general rule where you keep the persons eyes in the top 1/3 of the photo. this looks a bit border line. It is ok to cut part of the top of the head off if you want a tight shot.

Good luck! =)

Lol I definitely would have shot landscape had this been a planned photo. He was looking at the cat and the way the light was on him and the lines in his jaw and neck, I had to snap but didn't even think about flipping the camera from portrait position where I had already had it from shooting other photos of him. Lol. One of those "Oh crap he looks really cute like that better snap it before he moves" deals.

Guess I was blinded by cuteness and got photo stupid. :lmao:

Need to see what the rest of the shirt says. Probably should have removed the cat hair off the shirt as well. Cute kid though. Looks ornery!

I agree! but the lighting is great :)

It looks a bit soft to me. I sharpened it up some but maybe a tad too much. Before and after...

I think it's a great shot! I think the lighting is good, I didnt' notice any cat hair until it was pointed out...guess when I take a look at the pro's photos I better start looking for pet hair :er:
I want to see that shirt and I want to know where to buy it! lol

I do prefer the edit. It was a little soft and if you cant show the whole saying then dont show it at all.
I really hope I didnt hurt your feelings with your attachment to t-shirt pictures and all.
