What's new

This isn't my own kid....that's ok right???? C&C PLEEEEEEEASE!!!

It looks a bit soft to me. I sharpened it up some but maybe a tad too much. Before and after...

Untitled-1-2.jpg

I do prefer the edit. It was a little soft and if you cant show the whole saying then dont show it at all.
I really hope I didnt hurt your feelings with your attachment to t-shirt pictures and all.

But but but....my shirt!!!! :( The photo is ruined!!! Just look at what you amateurs have done to my clearly superior photo!!! Lmao ;)

I like the softness of the original photo but also like the edit. The original would look better with all or none of the words on his shirt and also no cat hair. But looks nice I like it!!

You just had to break the"NO KID" rule huh!!!!!:lmao:

I think it's a great photo! I got a little distracted by the shirt, I wanna know what the rest says and it's cut out so just that one bit that's a little off. but for a spur of the moment picture, this looks good.. ;)

The shirt says 'lock up your daughters' ;)

Actually, the lighting is quite harsh and set too low. Notice the hard shadows along the nose and it runs down the lips also. The light has not illuminated the top of his head. The light has also diminished the jawline.

You have gone beyond a 2/3 mask, but not to a profile. A 2/3 mask will have both eyes seen clearly, but not the opposite ear. A profile is exactly 1/2 of the mask. It would be better to have the eyes follow the nose if looking off camera.

The odd turn of the head has also given a strained look to the neck muscles. A better position would have been to step his right foot forward, which would naturally turn his torso and shoulders towards the camera.

Cute kid nonetheless.

Just my 2¢.

Hey cute lookin' kid. First off I would say it has very good lighting. Seems like it could use more color. What I noticed right away was that you shot this in portrait mode. I think it would turn out better being shot in landscape mode. Now i know this sounds silly since everyone always says you shoot portraits in portrait mode but this is an exception to the rule. Here is why; when you are doing a profile shot (and this is a great example) you will get a better result by shooting in landscape because of the fact that your subject is facing to the side. You want to give him somewhere to go, just as if you were shooting an action shot of someone running to the right, you would leave more open space to the right than you would to the left of him.

Try it and i bet you will be suprized at how better it looks! =)

One last thing to make the shot look more profesional would be to follow the general rule where you keep the persons eyes in the top 1/3 of the photo. this looks a bit border line. It is ok to cut part of the top of the head off if you want a tight shot.

Good luck! =)

The lighting is uneven and leaves part of the background horribly underexpose, which in turn looks like is getting light bleed from an ambient incandescent light scoure, turning the white black ground orange. Terrific lighting!

Ummm.... I gotta ask. I read three replies saying that the lighting is good or great. I'll give you that the exposure is fine, but the lighting is not particularly good.

Why is it that some here feel the lighting is good?

Make sure this entire post is carefully read. It's worth much more than 2¢.
