This shot makes me dizzy...

spent all morning shooting houses and somehow liked the frame on this one...

However, if you stare too long, it will make you dizzy

That's because the focal point of the composition (the column on the left) is out of focus.

It's the focal point because it stands alone and all the lines of perspective point to it.

what exactly were you trying to capture here? If you are not sure yourself, then you can't expect anybody else to know. This is something that I am learning myself....so I'm no expert or anything! Just keep practicing and playing around! =D

It only took 2 seconds to make me feel dizzy... I didn't have to stare at it long at all... and the reason for that is exactly because of what dj said.

The focus point of the composition pulls your eye to the out of focus column, yet the *actual* focus point is a third of the way in from the right on the closest wall.

I'm also not really sure what you were trying to frame? You said you liked the frame on this one... what did you mean by that?

I think you need to keep practicing your composition :sillysmi:
