but it is a story which must be told.
Well, I went back to the duck pond again hoping for a nice blue heron or at least another good shot of an egret (which Idid get, but that's another post). There are three dock platforms with nice little guardrails to keep the kiddies from falling in the pond..though no other fences around the rest of it...go figure.
So, I was glued to my lens watching a rather overpowering male duck of Heinz 57 variety in pursuit of a female who really wanted no part of his antics, but as you will soon see, gave into his wily ways.
So, the Chase is on...

The end result cause he was a bad-bad boy (close your eyes if you're under 12)
So, my voyeuristic moment over, I turrned to leave and what was between me and the exit but three water moccasins of various sizes. I had to take out my cell phone and call the police who came and rescued me...this is not what you want to see..ever in the wild and up close and personal...
And to all you naturists out there, they brought a trapper with them and he captured them for venom recovery - thus antivenom.
