P.S. Ceeboy, your critter looks like a Muscovy duck, perhaps a hybrid. They are a tropical species known to reach up into the southern US, from Florida to Texas, and also know to interbreed with other ducks.

Come spring time and you will see ducklings everywhere!

Actually, as macabre as one might look at it (nature does what nature does), it's also when the ospreys and hawks will also come visiting and that too will make for some interesting photography.
