Thoughts?

My first (non-introductory) post, so be gentle ^u^
Anyways, this was shot with an Olympus PEN E-PM1 with a Cine 35mm Prime, at f1.7
Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on this one?

Nice image when comes to b&w conversion. Just tell me why the top of the frame is so badly out of DoF ? Is your mounting of the lens 100% strait ? It looks like the lens is mounted on an angle in regards to focal plane.

I may have bought the lens second hand, so it may not be the best lens (but for 20 dollars it was a steal!)

I like it a lot, and think the original crop is much superior. As a picture of a guy walking down the street (i.e. cropped to be mostly the guy) it's not much.

As a classic street shot, with some geometry in it, it's pretty good. Not in love with the flat black shadows, although I do like the relatively high contrast. I think rendering the guy as an almost abstract shape is pretty good, I'd just like to see a little more texture in the black areas.

The branch overhead reflects the shape of the umbrella, and the jittery confused bokeh add to the shot, they make it look like it's raining, again supporting the umbrella.

Once you start looking for echoed and reflected shapes in here, they really start coming out at you. That is what makes street in the style of Henri Cartier-Bresson.
