Threads below this have not been updated ...

Why does this software show the message "Threads below this have not been updated since your last visit but have unread messages" as a part of "New Posts"? There are literally hundreds of thousands of threads that "have not been updated since your last visit but have unread messages". They aren't new, I don't want to see them or they wouldn't contain unread messages, so why would I want to see them listed as "New Posts"?

I don’t know the answer but wanted to suggest you use the “Active Topics” option instead.

Thanks, but with "Active Topics" I get 7 pages of threads. With "New Posts" I'm supposed to only see what has been posted since my last visit. That's what makes that silly "Threads below this have not been updated" so annoying.
