I like #2 the best. the log in the water is cool but is too distracting in the landscape, I think the trees are cool and the log takes your attention from them. try doing the log in a different composition so the log is the subject instead of the landscape.

Good job!=)

I think the ideology if 3bayjunkie for taking pictures, as i have read is a very straight way of taking pics, meaning not going out of order, i myself like better #3

too much dead space for me. A nice, cloud-ridden sky would be the ideal weather, so you could get clouds, and the reflections of them .

Not exactly sure what you meant by this, but I agree with 3bayjunkie's critique.

The log makes for a nice "anchor" in the foreground, but in #1 it commands too much attention. In #3 I would have liked to see the line created with the logs straight, parallel to the horizon and in the bottom of the frame (it wouldn't have necessarily worked, but it's the composition I would have liked to try personally, not really knowing the area and what else it would have put in frame)

I think landscape orientation might have worked better for #2 especially. I find myself wanting to see more of what was on each side left and right.

I like the horizontal one the best! Nice capture!

i agree with that as well. that was quick. you must live near by the pond =)

I would move the camera just a little to get that stuff out of the foreground. i find it too distracting, i keep looking down at it.
