Tiffen 67mm UV Protection Filter?

My friend suggested that I should get a protection filter for my lense, so I've been looking around the net. This one I found is a bestseller on Amazon, at a decent $13.

Does anybody here have any experience with this filter? Recommend? Disaprove? Any other suggestions for protection filters and where to purchase them?

Tiffen is a decent mid-level filter manufacturer. It should work just fine. Since they are relatively cheap, I just purchase them anywhere that will sell them for a low price... usually just purchase them as needed from the local shop.
