Tilt Shift with GIMP

Hi, I just read a post showing a tilt shift. Does anyone know if this is poss with GIMP or only PS? I have a cool photo to try it on !

Anything you can do in GIMP, can be done in Photoshop. So much more can be done in photoshop, than GIMP.

I've never done it myself, but looking at the tilt shift photoshop tutorial link provided by theundisputed, all of those features are available in GIMP. Though, the particular options may be located in different places, but they're all there.

yup, I just tried it out and it worked. Do basically the same method as that tutorial, add quick mask, use a gradient to choose the boundary so that the quick mask is on the area you want sharp, then untoggle the quick mask and apply a blur. I didn't see an option to do lens blur, but there are other blurring methods, I'm sure you can work out something that you like, or probably download something more like a lens blur.
