time lapse

im going to be in a big city today and i was wanting to make one. my only question is how do i set the camera to take pictures for that long. i just got my canon rebel xs if that helps

anyone? im leaving in like an hour and i really need help. i only plan on doing it for about 12 hours and maybe one picture every minute

I recently did it with my XSi tethered to my Laptop with the bundled Canon Software. You can set it to take a picture every certain interval for a preset amount of time/frames.
